Red Hot Berrando Agate from Mexico Face Polished, W/O

This is a really cool agate with lots of nice visible features and banding in blue. You never know what to expect when cutting thunder eggs (it's like opening presents). I had cut this for jewelry and decided it's better suited as a polished piece.  This is a natural agate called a red hot or Berrando red agate. As you may guess most of these are red so blue ones are less common. These must have been from a small deposit because you don't see many for sale any more. I face polished this agate. The remainder of the stone is in it's natural state. It's about 2 x 1.6 x 1.3 in inches and weighs about 3 oz. These red hot agates are usually much smaller than this one. This would be a great add to an agate collection!
