Lake Superior Agate, Classic Bander in Solid Sterling Silver

This is a stunner of a Lake Superior agate in solid sterling silver. This agate has beautiful high contrast white banding in a deep orange base. The stone is a wide oval that measures about 14 x 13 in mm. This agate hails from northern Wisconsin and is one we found ourselves. The pendant is small/petite at just under an inch tall including the bail. The textured portions of the setting are my hand forged and formed recycled sterling silver. Both the front and back of the setting are textured. I antiqued this pendant (intentional darkening of the silver) to bring out the details in the texture I added. This is an agate any rockhound will appreciate making it a great option for a gift. The pictured chain is solid 925 sterling silver and is 20 inches in length. If you love the pendant but don't need a chain choose the Pendant No Chain option. The bail opening measures about 2.5 mm.

Our stones are mirror polished and so there will be reflections in the pictures. We take pictures in direct bright light that simulates what your stone will look like in direct sunlight. Stones look very different in low or artificial light. If it's dark when you receive them you can use the flashlight feature on your smart phone to see what they will look like in daylight. If you are new to semi precious stones please understand that these stones are natural and were found or dug from the earth. These are not faceted altered or manmade stones you see in stores. Natural stones (especially agates) may have features that would be considered flaws in a faceted stone or manufactured stone. Natural stones can have internal fractures, natural holes or geode areas. If there are features we as professional lapidary artists feel may detract from a stone we do our best to describe them in the listing description and show them in the pictures. We charge based on size and quality of the stone as well as market factors. We don’t dabble in the art of stone cutting. USPS tracking includes a GPS signature when the package is scanned delivered. You are responsible for ensuring the safety of your packages once they are scanned delivered.
