Nellie Blue Flint in Solid Sterling Silver, Ohio's State Stone

This type of flint hails from the Coshocton County area of Ohio. Nellie blue is a jewelry grade flint that occurs with many tiny voids filled with chalcedony and agate. The contrast between the colors of the flint and the agate gives it a bluish look. It's a truly beautiful natural stone. I cut this piece in a domed teardrop shape. The stone measures about 21 x 13 in mm. I crafted the solid sterling silver setting using my hand forged and formed recycled sterling silver for the back and the bail both of which I textured. The bezel that holds the stone is an inverted heart design. You can choose this with the pictured solid sterling silver chain or just the pendant. The bail opening is about 4 mm. This will ship in a jewelry box ready for gifting. Necklace holder/picture props are not included.
