This fordite necklace and earring set has great color including a band of the new pink from the line of vehicles painted at the plant at Parkway Toledo Ohio. The pendant and earring stones are domed on top with flat backs. The earring stones are about 20 mm tall. The pendant stone is 29 mm tall not including the bail. The components for these are all solid silver. The ear wires are tarnish resistant argentium sterling silver, a premium option that is preferred for ear wires. The chain is solid 925 sterling silver. Fordite is recycled automotive paint sourced primarily from automotive factories. It forms in thin layers as car parts are painted on the racks that hold them in place. After hundreds of trips through the booth where the paint is sprayed then baked the excess buildup is scraped off the racks. We buy this waste paint in rough chunks and recycle it into beautiful jewelry. It’s said it takes almost a thousand layers of paint to make a one inch thick piece of fordite. The original fordite came from Ford Motors in Detroit hence the name Ford-ite. Fordite from prior to 1978 can contain lead. All of our fordite is either current or from the early 2000’s so it’s not lead based paint.

Why buy from us? Most artists are part time and only dabble in fordite while Brian is a full time artist who specializes in cutting and polishing fordite. Shipping: The free shipping for our website is USPS First Class Shipping 2-6 day delivery time depending on your distance from our home in Wisconsin. The upgraded shipping is USPS Priority Mail. The charge for upgrading shipping covers the increased shipping cost to send priority mail. Priority mail is estimated at 2-3 days for delivery. Keep in mind we have no control over USPS shipping times or errors. Priority mail includes $100 in insurance. Both shipping choices have tracking provided. USPS tracking includes a GPS signature when the package is scanned delivered. You are responsible for ensuring the safety of your packages once they are scanned delivered. We most often mail orders the next business day. If we take a vacation we adjust our shipping time accordingly. Check our shop announcement for updates. We will only ship to the address on the order.

Returns: We offer free returns within 14 calendar days of the day your order is marked delivered by USPS. If you'd like to return an item please reach out to us within your return window.

Packaging: We package our jewelry securely so they will arrive safe. Jewelry is shipped in jewelry boxes. Please let us know if you buy multiple items if they are for yourself as we can then ship several in the same jewelry box.
